Staff from across the bureau convened on Wednesday, 1st April 2026, at the UBFC Building in Kololo for a Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) harmonisation meeting aimed at improving coordination and aligning work across divisions.
Held in the Level 2 Auditorium, the meeting was attended by both in-person and online participants, highlighting a collective effort to streamline operations and improve performance.
Deputy Registrar General for Finance and Administration, Mr. Alex Anganya, welcomed staff from various departments and regional offices who joined via Zoom. He emphasised the importance of coordination across the department’s nine divisions, noting that performance management will remain a key focus moving forward.
Mr. Anganya described the Finance and Administration department as the “engine” of the institution and encouraged staff to prioritise accountability in their daily work. He urged colleagues to support one another in order to drive continuous improvement and meet organisational goals.

Commissioner for Finance and Administration, Mr. Ambrose Ekaju, also addressed the meeting, welcoming the five newly added divisions. He outlined the structure of the department and highlighted the roles of all nine divisions, including Human Resource Management, Procurement, Monitoring and Evaluation, Culture & Talent Management, Planning & Budgeting, General Administration, Finance & Accounts, Regional Offices, and Records Management & Information.
Staff from Kololo headquarters and Georgian House attended in person, while regional officers from Arua, Gulu, Hoima, Masaka, Mbale and Mbarara joined online.
The harmonisation meeting concluded with a call to synchronise work across all divisions and work together smoothly and effectively. Staff agreed on the importance of aligning processes, improving communication, and working in a more coordinated way.
