The Registrar General, Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho, has received a Certificate of Participation after completing a high-level Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) training held at the URSB offices in Kololo.
Ms. Kainobwisho received the certificate from Senior Counsel Francis Gimara, Head of the ALP Dispute Settlement Hub, following the successful completion of the training that was organised to strengthen URSB’s capacity in handling and resolving disputes.
The training followed an ADR programme conducted for URSB staff, aimed at equipping the team with skills and knowledge in alternative approaches to dispute resolution. The sessions focused on the importance of resolving disputes in a faster, affordable, and more effective way compared to lengthy formal processes.
As an institution that plays an important role in supporting business registration, intellectual property protection, and commercial services, URSB continues to engage in initiatives that promote a fair and efficient business environment.
Alternative Dispute Resolution is important because it helps parties find solutions through dialogue, negotiation, and mediation while reducing delays and costs associated with disputes. For URSB, strengthening ADR skills supports better service delivery and improves the ability to handle commercial disagreements that may affect businesses and investors.
