URSB Launches Non-Individual Register Awareness Week

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) will conduct a week-long Non-Individual Register (NIR) Awareness Campaign from 22nd to 26th June 2026 aimed at enhancing stakeholder understanding of beneficial ownership transparency and compliance requirements under the register.

The campaign will bring together a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior management, staff, associated registrars, departmental teams, call centre personnel, and members of the general public.

Through targeted training sessions and webinars, participants will gain a deeper appreciation of the role of the Non-Individual Register in promoting corporate transparency, accountability, and investor confidence.

The awareness activities will commence on 22nd June with a session for Senior Management at the Uganda Business Facilitation Centre (UBFC) Boardroom, followed by a virtual training for all URSB staff on 23rd June.

Members of the general public will participate in webinars scheduled for 24th and 25th June, while Associated Registrars will attend a specialised session on 25th June at the URSB Auditorium.

The campaign will conclude on 26th June with a training for departmental staff, Call Centre staff, and the Department of Communications and Corporate Affairs (DCCA).

The initiative forms part of URSB’s commitment to strengthening beneficial ownership disclosure, combating illicit financial flows, and fostering a transparent and accountable business environment that supports Uganda’s economic transformation agenda.
