Registrar General Hosts Iftar Dinner for Muslim Staff

The Registrar General Ms Mercy K. Kainobwisho, on Tuesday evening hosted an Iftar dinner for Muslim staff at the Uganda Business Facilitation Centre in Kololo.

The dinner was organised in honour of staff observing the holy month of Ramadan, as part of efforts to promote unity and inclusivity at the workplace.

Speaking during the event, Ms. Kainobwisho said the gathering was an opportunity to bring staff together, appreciate diversity and strengthen teamwork within the institution. She noted that respecting different beliefs and traditions helps build a stronger and more supportive working environment.

The dinner was attended by Muslim staff, members of top management and select non-Muslim staff, who shared a meal at sunset to break the day’s fast. It also provided time for reflection, interaction and bonding among colleagues.

Some staff members welcomed the gesture, saying it made them feel valued and recognised during an important period in their faith.

It is fundamental to note that such engagements are part of the organisation’s commitment to staff welfare and building a united workforce.

The Registrar General wished all Muslim staff a peaceful and blessed Ramadan, and called for continued cooperation as the organisation works towards delivering its mandate.
