The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) yesterday attended Isaiah Katumwa’s Christmas Under the Sky concert, celebrating an evening of exceptional live music but also a major milestone in the protection of creative works.
The concert came shortly after Isaiah Katumwa was officially granted a copyright registration certificate by Uganda Registration Services Bureau for his musical works. This achievement underscores the importance of intellectual property protection in safeguarding creativity, originality, and artistic livelihoods.
URSB’s presence at the concert symbolized its continued commitment to supporting Uganda’s creative industry by encouraging artists to formally register and protect their works. By securing copyright, creatives like Isaiah Katumwa gain legal recognition, ownership, and the confidence to commercially exploit their talent both locally and internationally.
As the melodies filled the night sky, the event stood as a powerful reminder that protecting creativity is key to sustaining the arts. URSB remains dedicated to working hand in hand with artists, musicians, and creators to ensure that their rights are protected and their creativity thrives.
