The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) on Friday held its Annual Thanksgiving Prayer Breakfast at the UBFC Car Park, a ceremony led by Pastor Samuel Kajoba, President of the Uganda Union Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Representing the Board Chairman, H.E. Amb. Francis Butagira, Board Member Ms. Hope Okeny delivered an uplifting message that cast the day’s reflections in a spirit of gratitude, progress, and national purpose.
Speaking under the theme “Thankful for Today’s Achievements and Believing for a Better Tomorrow,” the Chairman’s address highlighted the power of gratitude as a catalyst for continued growth. Citing both the Bible and the Qur’an, he reminded attendees that thanksgiving is not only an act of reverence but a pathway to multiplied blessings and renewed strength.

Ms. Okeny commended URSB for a year marked by significant achievements, among them the successful digitalization of key services, expanded Non-Tax Revenue, and enhanced global compliance recognition. These strides, she said, form an essential part of Uganda’s broader journey toward industrialization and economic transformation.
She applauded the Registrar General, whose exceptional leadership over the past five years she described as “transformational,” praising her strategic vision and dedication.
As prayers were offered and gratitude shared, the event closed with a renewed sense of unity, purpose, and hope for an even brighter future for URSB and Uganda.
