Countdown to URSB’s Strategic Plan IV Launch: A Day to Go

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is just a day away from launching its Strategic Plan IV (2025/26–2029/30), a strategic roadmap designed to strengthen the Bureau’s role in driving national development and supporting Uganda’s private sector-led growth.

The launch, scheduled for September 24th and 25th, 2025, will mark a significant milestone for the institution, coming on the heels of the successful implementation of Strategic Plan III.

Over the past five years, URSB has achieved remarkable progress in expanding business registrations, boosting Non-Tax Revenue collection, and streamlining operational systems.

Strategic Plan IV builds on this momentum under the theme “Positioning Uganda as the Best Destination for Doing Business.” It seeks to enhance service delivery, institutional capacity, and innovation, while aligning closely with Vision 2040, the National Development Plan IV, and global frameworks such as the UN 2030 Agenda.

The two-day launch event is expected to draw participation from staff internally on day one, and government leaders, private sector players, and development partners on day two, respectively, who will engage in discussions on how to foster a more business-friendly environment that stimulates entrepreneurship and investment.

URSB leadership has emphasized the crucial role of staff in achieving the plan’s objectives. “Every staff member plays a role in delivering our vision. Your commitment and creativity will ensure URSB continues to lead in service excellence,” management noted.

The anticipation is high as URSB readies to unveil a plan set to transform Uganda’s business ecosystem for the next five years.
