URSB highlights digital business registration at Uganda-UAE Forum

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau showcased its streamlined business registration processes at the Uganda-UAE Business Forum 2025, emphasising the country’s improved ease of doing business.

Mr. Walid Kule, Assistant Commissioner – Registration Services, representing URSB on a panel discussion on the final day of the three-day forum, outlined three critical considerations for investors: how to register a business, how to enter and operate in the country, and the exit process.

Whether you’re starting up or closing down after achieving your goals, everything is handled online. You don’t need to visit our offices

“URSB has moved beyond the era of physical office visits and bulky paperwork,” Mr Kule explained. The bureau now offers a fully digital platform where investors simply need identification, business nature details, location information, ownership classification, and operational structure.

The registration process requires clear information about business rules, stakeholders, and management structure. URSB also provides training services to help business owners minimize internal conflicts and offers support in dispute resolution when needed.

Mr Kule emphasised the bureau’s comprehensive support throughout the business lifecycle. “Whether you’re starting up or closing down after achieving your goals, everything is handled online. You don’t need to visit our offices—business registration can be completed in a maximum of four hours.”

This digital transformation positions Uganda as an attractive investment destination, offering international investors a transparent, efficient, and trustworthy registration process that matches global standards.
