How to Reserve a Name with URSB
- Log in to the URSB online portal at https://obrs.ursb.go.ug
- Enter your proposed business name to check if it is available
- If it is not, follow the prompts to open an account and go under name reservations.
- Pay the required name reservation fee
- Submit your application
- Wait for confirmation (usually takes 1–2 working days)
Once approved, the name is reserved for 30 days. During this period, no one else can take it.
Tip: Make sure your proposed name is unique, professional, and relevant to your business. Avoid offensive or misleading words.
