Launch of URSB Strategic Plan IV

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) will be launching its Strategic Plan IV (2025/26 – 2029/30), outlining a new direction aimed at positioning Uganda as the best destination for doing business.

Under the theme “Positioning Uganda as the best destination for doing business,” the plan sets a clear vision of transforming URSB into a Centre of Excellence in providing registration services for business facilitation.

URSB’s mission remains to provide secure, efficient, and innovative registration services. To achieve this, the new strategy outlines five key strategic objectives: improving access and quality of registration services, strengthening communication and public awareness, reinforcing the legal and institutional framework for service delivery, promoting innovation and competitiveness, and enhancing sustainability in operations.

Speaking at the launch, URSB leadership emphasized that the plan aligns with national development goals and global best practices, aiming to make business registration more accessible, transparent, and supportive of entrepreneurship.

The strategy is anchored on core values of customer-centricity, professionalism, integrity, teamwork, and accountability – principles the Bureau says will guide service delivery over the next five years.

This new direction reflects URSB’s commitment to fostering an enabling environment for both local and foreign investors, ultimately driving economic growth and job creation.

With this plan, URSB is signaling a strong intent: to not only meet Uganda’s business registration needs but to set a benchmark for efficiency and innovation in the region.
