Board members of the Uganda Registration Services Bureau successfully completed a three-day intensive governance and leadership training, concluding with a formal graduation and award of certificates at Latitude 0° Hotel on 27th November 2025.
The programme, spearheaded by the URSB Board Chair, was graced by senior leaders, for a deep dive into modern governance, ethical stewardship, and cybersecurity readiness.
The training, held from 25th to 27th November, was designed to strengthen the Board’s strategic oversight capacity at a time when organisations are navigating rapid technological shifts and heightened expectations for accountability.
Throughout the sessions, board members explored real-world case studies, emerging digital threats, and advanced governance frameworks aimed at enhancing institutional resilience. The course provided practical tools to support better decision-making, improve transparency, and foster sustainable organisational performance.

During the closing ceremony, the Board Chair, represented by board member Ms. Jackie Kemigisha Kiiza, applauded participants for their commitment to continuous improvement and emphasised that well-trained leadership is essential for URSB’s mission of delivering efficient, citizen-centred services.
Board members were awarded a certificate recognising their successful completion of the programme.
The graduation marked a renewed commitment to strengthening URSB’s governance structures and ensuring that leaders remain well-equipped to guide the organisation into a future shaped by innovation, regulatory evolution, and public-sector excellence.
